Ellsworth FAQs

Are You Pet-Friendly?

-Yes, we are pet-friendly in all floorplans at The Ellsworth! We even offer a designated pet area right outside the building and a pet grooming station available 24/7 on the 2nd floor of the community. Pets can be registered during the application process with additional pet fees ($300 One Time Non Refundable Pet Fee, $30/month pet rent). Fees are waived for ESA/Support Animals with proper documentation. 

Is There An Online Portal I Can Use?

-Yes, everything is electronic! You will have access to the online resident portal through Appfolio for rent payments, work order submissions, contact cards, etc. An activation link to create your account will be emailed and texted to you once your lease has been approved.

Do You Offer Valet Trash?

-Yes, valet trash is a service in our community! Trash bins will be provided in each apartment from Valet Living for easy waste disposal. No need to use the trash room unless you have large items or multiple bags of waste. Valet Living picks up Sunday-Thursday. An information sheet on pick up schedules and important information is given to you on move in day to ensure you have all the answers to your valet trash questions.

Do You Have Parking Available?

-Yes, we have FREE parking available in our covered parking garage and exterior spaces along the building. Parking spaces are first-come, first-served with no assigned spaces. Handicap spaces are available in the parking garage and exterior lots. Vehicles will be registered with the office during the application process.

What Amenities Do You Offer?

-The Ellsworth community offers great amenities for all residents. All amenity rooms are 24 hour key fob access to allow residents to enjoy these spaces even when the office is closed. The amenities offered in the community are a pet grooming station, fitness center, clubhouse space, and large outdoor terrace with access to grills for your cookout needs all on the 2nd floor of the building. The 5th floor houses our co-working room with balcony access for a quiet space to work, study, or lounge. A key fob access bicycle storage room allows for a secure place to store your bike in the parking garage when not in use.

What Is The Community Like?

-The Ellsworth is located downtown Lafayette, IN just a block away from the main downtown hub. Local shops, eateries, and activities are only steps away from our front door! Lafayette hosts a farmers market just one block from The Ellsworth community that runs every Saturday from May-October. Annual festivals and parades will give you a great opportunity to get involved and meet new friends. Our community at The Ellsworth is built on luxury living with a warm community feel. We work hard to keep our residents involved with neighbors through resident events hosted by our team. 

How Does The Waitlist Work?

-The waitlist is for anyone looking to lease an apartment for a future date. Our "Apply" tab on the website has listings for the "Purdue Waiting List - 1 Bed 1 Bath" and "Purdue Waiting List - 2 Bed 2 Bath". You do not need to be a Purdue student to apply as this is for ALL waitlist applicants. A hold fee is required to secure your space on the waitlist. The payment made towards the hold fee will be applied towards the remaining move in fees once a lease has been signed. Unit assignments are completed based on the order in which applications are received. 

Are Utilities Included?

-The Ellsworth does not include any utilities but does charge a flat rate monthly service "RUBS". Residents are responsible for setting up and paying electricity usage to Duke Energy each month. A welcome letter is provided in addition to the rental agreement that states all monthly services, move in fees, and a section to enter your new Duke Energy account number. 

What Is a RUBS?

The RUBS is a flat rate monthly service that covers water, sewer, valet trash, and internet provided by the property. This service is charged to the resident portal each month along with rent and is due with the monthly rent payment. The monthly service total is $125.
